What is the best paver sealer for a wet look? The best paver sealer for a wet look is a solvent based acrylic sealer that will darkenWet Look Before and After Photo the pavers to make them look wet.

The two best paver sealers for a wet look finish are the Armor AR350 and Armor AR500 concrete sealers. They are pure acrylic lacquer sealers that penetrate into the surface of the pavers where they darken the pavers to make them look wet. The Armor AR350 will leave behind a low gloss sheen, while the Armor AR500 will leave behind a high gloss finish.

While the photo on the right shows the before and after of stamped concrete, both types of sealers have the same effect on pavers.

Applying the wet look sealer to pavers is very simple, and can be done in a few easy steps:

  1. Make sure the pavers are clean and free of anything that could prevent proper penetration. If a pressure washer was used to clean the pavers, let them dry for at least 24 hours.
  2. Using a 3/8-1/2" shedless nap roller, apply one good coat to the pavers. Let dry for 24 hours and then repeat with a second coat. Waiting 24 hours will allow for a better base to achive a high level of shine or gloss on the surface, as well as to promote a stronger top coat.
  3. Let dry, and keep dry, for 48 hours after the second coat is applied.

Not all wet look sealers will darken the surface of the pavers to make them look wet. If you like the high gloss finish, but don't want the pavers to look wet, then you want a water based acrylic. Water based acrylic sealers will enhance with a gloss, but they won't darken the surface to make it look wet. For a high gloss finish without a wet look, then you want the Armor WB25.
