Water Based Exterior Concrete & Paver Coatings

Foundation Armor water based exterior concrete sealers offer many of the same benefits as a solvent. Water based coatings are slightly different however than solvent based coatings. Water based coatings will not darken the surface as much as a solvent based. If you are looking for a “wet look”, or wish to bring out dull and faded coloring, a solvent based sealer will do a better job at darkening the surface. The second major difference is the recoat. In 2-5 years when it comes time to recoat, you must first screen scuff the surface before applying. If you don’t screen scuff the surface first you run the risk of delamination. Lastly, water based coatings are only available in clear and cannot be tinted.

If you are looking for a low-no odor water based product, the Armor WB25 is the right product for you.
