There are a few types of paver sealers that can be used to seal pavers. The first is a wet look paver sealer, the second is a high gloss paver sealer, and the third is an invisible penetrating paver sealer. Which paver sealer is best for your pavers depends on what you want the pavers to look like once sealed, and what the type of paver you are sealing.
Before sealing your pavers, it is important to consider the following:
Are the pavers currently sealed? If it is, it is important to know what it is sealed with. If a solvent based product was used you want to reapply with a solvent based product; if a water based product was used you want to reapply with a water based product.
Are the pavers red brick pavers or concrete pavers. If the pavers are red brick pavers you want to use a penetrating sealer. If you apply a wet look or high gloss sealer to red brick pavers you run the risk of having the paver sealer peel, flake, or turn white from exposure to moisture. If the pavers are concrete pavers you can use a penetrating paver sealer, wet look paver sealer, or high gloss paver sealer.
Once you have considered the above you can proceed with choosing a paver sealer. Which sealer you choose depends on what you want the concrete to look like once sealed.
