The best concrete sealer for your concrete application will depend on what you want the concrete to look like once sealed, how you need the sealer to perform, and how much you want to invest into a sealer. Best Penetrating Concrete Sealers
Penetrating sealers work below the surface. They are designed to protect the surface of the concrete without changing the appearance. Penetrating sealers do not leave behind a surface film or coating as they work entirely below the surface, within the pores.
Under the category of penetrating sealers you have two categories of sealers:
Hardeners and Densifiers: Densifiers chemically react to form a cystalline barrier within the pores of the concrete. The barrier, once hardened, will increase the strength and density of the concrete, and restrict the flow of water through pores. Under the category of densifiers you have sodium and lithium silicates. Both types of silicates product the same type of CSH structure. Regardless of the manufacturer, the CSH structure formed can't be broken down. What distinguishes one manufactures product from the next is the solids content, price, and form (concentrated or pre-diluted).

When choosing between a sodium and lithium silicate, there are a few things to consider. While the CSH structured formed is identical, lithium silicate densifiers react faster and have an easier time penetrating through dense or trowel finished surfaces where as sodium silicates have an easier time reacting when moisture is present.
Silicates are great to use if you are looking to increase the strength of the concrete or reduce dusting.
Water Repellent Sealers: Water repellent sealers chemically react to form a hydrophobic barrier within the pores that causes water and other liquids to bead off the surface. The most common type of water repellent sealer is a Silane-Siloxane blend because it takes the best parts of each type of sealer without any of the weaknesses. You will get better protection, longer, with a Silane-Siloxane blend sealer.
Water repellent sealers are great for use on interior and exterior surfaces. By reducing the absorption of water and other liquids you reduce a variety of issues caused by that, including cracking, spalling, pitting, deterioration, staining, ice and salt damage, dusting, and the growth of mold and mildew. Silane-Siloxanes can be used alone, or applied over concrete previously treated with a silicate baseddensifier.

Exterior wet look and high gloss sealers are acrylic in base, and interior wet look and high gloss sealers are acrylic, epoxy, or urethane in base. Like with penetrating concrete sealers, the best wet look and high gloss sealer depends on several factors.
