The breathability of an acrylic sealer will vary depending on the percent solids of the formula. 15-25% solids acrylic sealers are ideal for breathability. Once you start getting into 30% or more, the acrylic can have issues with delamination if moisture is present below the surface.

Concrete sealed with a water repellent sealer is more resistant to cracking, spalling, pitting, staining, freeze thaw and salt damage, mold and mildew, and efflorescence.

Acrylic sealers are designed to enhance concrete with a wet look, low gloss, or high gloss finish, and protect the surface against damager and deterioration caused by surface spills, water absorption, and surface abrasion.
